D. 202 student registration open for 2021-22 with new attendance zones

Students who are new to District 202 – including those who will attend Wallin Oaks, the district’s newest elementary school – can now register for the 2021-22 school year and returning students can register starting April 26, 2021.

Students will register at their 2021-22 home school except those who will attend Wallin Oaks Elementary School. Registration for students who will attend Wallin Oaks Elementary School will be taken at Ridge Elementary School.

Current-year (2020-21) home schools will forward records for students moving to new schools in 2021-22 because of attendance zone changes to their new school.

Families will find links to information and materials needed for registration on all district and school websites. Click on the “Student Registration” link under the “Schools” tab on the front page.

Registration materials can be emailed directly to schools. As well, registration materials can also be dropped off at schools.

The online information includes the district attendance zones which were recently adjusted to populate Wallin Oaks; rebalance enrollments district-wide; minimize the need to move certain special education programs every year among buildings because of limited space; and ensure efficient student transportation.

Wallin Oaks will be the district’s 18th full-service elementary school. It is being built as part of a larger plan to create enough space district-wide to provide full-day kindergarten for all eligible students, which has been a longtime community priority.
